ASSET VARIOGUARD® should be used in accordance with general arrangement VG2506-a.

ASSET VARIOGUARD® ANCHORED - TESTED & APPROVED
Where absolute minimal deflection is required, ASSET VARIOGUARD® can be anchored every 20m. This arrangement is dynamically tested at performance level N2, with a dynamic deflection of only 560mm, and a class of Working Width of only W4. This is the lowest deflection of any temporary steel barrier. This solution has also been adopted for permanent installations on the M5 Avonmouth Bridge at Bristol, and Kingston Bridge in Glasgow, but is also widely used as a temporary solution.

ASSET VARIOGUARD® INSTALLERS – FULLY TRAINED
It is essential, in these times of litigation, claims, and court cases, that you are 100% confident that your temporary barriers have been correctly installed. ASSET provide this service, both with our own installers, and with a nationwide network of specialist sub contractors, that cover every part of the country. There are currently over 260 people trained to install ASSET VARIOGUARD®.

It is a requirement of Sector Scheme 2b, that installers of vehicle restraint systems, are fully trained, on courses approved by Lantra. It is also a mandatory requirement, that the companies employing these installers are Quality Assured under the Sector Scheme, and have temporary safety barrier installation listed as part of the scope of their Quality Assurance.

We do not insist that you use this service for installation and ASSET will gladly train your people to install ASSET VARIOGUARD®, so long as you can also meet the quality assurance requirements. These are the legal requirements of the Sector Scheme.
