ASSET SOLOGUARD® OPENING AT CONWY

When the A55 tunnels were built, gaps were left in the safety barrier adjacent to each portal. At that time, there were no movable barriers available to close these gaps.

Therefore the gap in the central reservation was delineated using plastic cones. A safety barrier, which provided motorists and operators with increased safety whilst being easily opened and closed, was required ‘to fill the gap’. ASSET SOLOGUARD® proved to be the perfect solution.

The ASSET SOLOGUARD® is opened in this location for night tunnel maintenance every six weeks, offering permanent protection for road users and temporary protection for the workforce.
